87 Surah Al-A’la – The Most High

In the name of Allah, the entirely Merciful, the especially Merciful

1) Praise the Name of your Lord, the Most High,
2) who created (everything) perfectly
3) He created everything with a special purpose and gave all the creation natural tools to complete their purpose.Then he also showed them the way how to perform their functions.
4) And He is the One who grows green grasslands,
5) then turns it to withered black waste
6) Allah says to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) , “ We will have you recite ˹the Quran, O Prophet,˺ so you will not forget any of it.
7) Except that which Allâh wants you to forget. He knows about all things which we can see and all things that are hidden.
8) And Allah will make the right way easy to follow
9) So remind and advise the people, if reminding will help
10) Those who are in awe of Allah will follow the advice
11) But the most wicked ones will not follow it.
12) And they will be the ones who will enter the biggest fire
13) where they will not ˹be able to˺ live or die.
14) Those who believe in Allah and clean themselves of all evil will be successful.
15) They remember the name of their Lord again and again and pray
16) You prefer the life of this world
17) But the Hereafter is far better and will last forever.
18) This is surely ˹mentioned˺ in the earlier Scriptures
19) the Scriptures of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Musa.

Fatima, (May Allah be pleased with her) the Queen of Jannah leads a simple and humble life in this world. Her husband Ali, and her sons Hassan and Hussain (May Allah be pleased with them) are dearest to the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad (Peace be upon him). When the two boys unfortunately fall sick, the worried parents vow to fast for three days to ask Allah to grant them health.

Things become challenging when right at the time to break the first fast, a needy person knocks at the door and requests the noble family to share their food. This pattern repeats on the second day and third.
