80 Surah Abasa – He Frowned
In the name of Allah, the entirely Merciful, the especially Merciful
- The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) frowned and turned his attention away
- ˹simply˺ because the blind man came to him ˹interrupting˺.
- You never know ˹O Prophet˺,May be, (if you had listened to him properly,) he would have become pure (from sins)?
- or have taken the advice, and the advice would have benefited him.
- As for the one who does not care
- you gave him your full˺ attention,
- even though you are not to blame if he would not let go of sins
- But as for the one who came rushing to you, eager ˹to learn˺,
- Because he fears the displeasure of Allah
- You did not pay attention to him
- Never! You should never do like this. Indeed this (Qur’ an) is an advice.
- So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it.
- The Quran is written on honourable pages
- It is highly respected and pure
- It is written by recorders and writers from the angels
- Who are noble and obedient
- Allah’s anger is on the disbelieving man! How ungrateful he is!
- From what thing did Allah create men?
- He created them from a drop and then made the features of their body well-balanced.
- Then Allah makes their birth into the world easy and makes it easy for them to follow the correct path of life.
- then causes them to die and be buried
- Then when he wants to, he will raise them up again
- but men have not done what Allah commanded them.
- Humans should think and wonder over how they get their food
- They should wonder at how Allah pours down plenty of rain
- then how nicely Allah cracks open the soil with sprouts.
- causing grain to grow in it,
- as well as grapes and herbs,
- and olives and palm trees,
- and gardens, full of thick trees,
- And fruits and vegetables
- All of it is for humans and animals to eat and use.
- So when the Deafening Noise occurs,
- On that day man will run away from his own brothers and sisters
- And from his mother and father
- And even from his wife and children
- Because he will be worried and fearful for his own result
- On that Day the faces of believers will be bright,
- laughing and rejoicing at the news of Paradise
- and many faces, on that day, will be stained with dust,
- And covered by darkness.
- These will be the faces of the disbelievers and the ˹wicked˺ sinners.
