Surah Jinn
In the name of Allah, the entirely Merciful, the especially Merciful
- 1) Say, Oh Prophet Muahmmad (peace be upon him & his family) , “it has been revealed to me from Allah that a group of Jinn listened to the Quran and they said: “Indeed we have heard a wondrous recitation.
- 2) Which guides to the right way, so we have believed in it and we will never worship anything besides Allah”
- 3) And the Jinns started talking to each other that “Allah’s Majesty and Power is the most grand. He does not have any wife nor children”
- 4) “And the foolish ones amongst us used to say extremely wrong things about Allah”
- 5) `We did not think that humans and Jinns would join each other in lying about Allah by saying Allah has a wife or a son. So when we heard this Qur'an we believed in it and we knew that they,Jinns and men, had been lying about Allah in this matter.'
- 6) And some men from the humans used to ask the male Jinn to protect them from harm. So when the Jinns saw that the humans were seeking refuge with them due to their fear of them, they made the humans more fearful of them and made them sin.
- 7) And these humans thought the same as you Jinn, that Allah would never send anyone as a messenger.
- 8) The Jinn said, “and when we tried to reach the heaven, we found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.
- 9) And we used to sit in places in the sky to eavesdrop but whoever tries to listen now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him.
- 10) Therefore, we do not know if this is bad for those on earth or if their Lord intends for them a right path.
- 11) And amongst us some are righteous and others are not, we are groups having different ways.
- 12) And we know for sure that we cannot escape the punishment of Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
- 13) ‘And when we heard the Quran, we believed in it and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in the punishment for his sins.
- 14) And that some of us are Muslims, and some of us are unjust; so those who submitted to Islam have found out the right path
- 15) But as for the unjust, they will be firewood for Hell.”
- 16) Say oh Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) “And it is also revealed to me) that if they had stood firm on the (right) way, We would have supplied water to them in abundance.”
- 17) as a test for them, to see if they will be grateful to Allah for rain and other provisions. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of their Lord, He will put them in a severe punishment.
- 18) And the mosques are for Allâh Alone so do not call upon anyone along with Allâh.
- 19) When the servant of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stood up calling upon Allah alone, the Jinn gathered around him in a big crowd in order to listen to the Prophet’s recitation.
- 20) Say, O Prophet “I call only upon my Lord, joining none with Him in worship.”
- 21) Say, “It is not in my power to harm or bring you to a right way."
- 22) Say, "No one can ever save me from Allah if I disobey Him, and I can never find protection except with Him.
- 23) My duty is only to convey the truth from Allah and deliver His messages.” And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger will certainly be in the Fire of Hell, to stay there for ever and ever.
- 24) Until these disbelievers from the Jinns and humans see what has been promised to them on the Day of Judgement. Then on that day, they will know who's helpers are weaker and fewer in number -- them or the believers who worship Allah alone.
- 25) Say, “I do not know if what you are promised is near or far.”
- 26) Allah is the Knower of the unseen and He does not let anyone know His knowledge of the unseen.
- 27) Except to a Messenger from mankind whom He has chosen, He informs him of unseen as much as He likes, and then He makes a group of guarding angels to march before him and behind him.
- 28) Allâh protects the Messengers, till He sees that they have conveyed the Messages of Allah. And Allah already knows all about them, and keeps account of everything.”
